This is the first of a fundraiser event series, benefitting the Ripe For Revival 501(c)3 Mobile Market Program.

Join us as we travel to Littleton, NC and visit Chef Ashleigh Fleming in the kitchen of Blue Jay Bistro. Your ticket purchase includes a link to the live event and a curated meal kit delivered to your home to cook alongside the chef. Experience a taste of North Carolina's agriculture and hospitality industry from the comfort of your own home with signature dishes from Blue Jay Bistro and ingredients sourced directly from North Carolina farmers.

How It Works:

Have your meal kit delivered conveniently to your home before the supper club event!

3.) Follow suggested pre-class preparation:

Follow the suggested pre-class ingredient prep, have all suggested utensils and meal kit ingredients ready to go before the event!

4.) Join Virtual Event via Zoom & Cook Away:

Tune in to the live stream event and interact with the chef and on-screen guests as we cook her locally inspired menu!

Texas Barbeque seasoning mix from the Blue Jay Bistro kitchen

Carolina Gold Rice (Tidewater Grain Compnay - Oriental, NC)

Purple and orange NC grown sweetpotatoes

North Carolina caught shrimp

Lettuce, red onion, lime, lemon, jalapeno, tomatoes and NC grown micro cilantro

After You Receive Your Meal Kit:

Once you receive your meal kit, follow the storage instructions included to keep food safe and high quality until event.

Ingredients Needed:

Ice

Ground Coriander

Cumin

Salt

Tajin or chili blend (see suggested products list)

Butter

Cotija cheese

Rum (white and dark - see suggested products list)

Lemon oil (see suggested products list - substitute with lemon zest if not using product)

Cocktail shaker or medium mixing bowl and ladle instead of shaker

Large cutting board

Collins glasses or tall cocktail glasses

2 small pots

Fork

Measuring spoons

Vegetable peeler

Chef’s knife

Strainer

2 medium mixing bowls

Small mixing bowl

Microplane or citrus zester

Kitchen spoon

Large non-stick skillet with lid

Tongs

White rum (we recommend Raleigh White from Raleigh Rum)

Dark Rum (we recommend Meyer's Origional Dark)

20 Minutes Before Class Time

Have all utensils pulled and in front of you for easy preparation (see Utensils Needed)

Have all ingredients from meal kit pulled and in front of you

Set up ipad, laptop or device near cooking station and click the live stream link (sent via email day of event)

Quarter 1 lime

Make sure shrimp are completely thawed. Remove shell, pat dry with a paper towel and leave tails on once thawed

If not using suggested lemon oil, create a mixture of 1 tsp olive oil and the juice and zest of half a lemon in a small bowl

Place 4 cups of room tempurature water in a small pot on a stovetop, do not turn on heat

Assemble Coconut Lime Vinagrette (optional, not prepared during event)

Kitchen Utensils Needed
